Flashworks Photobooth would like to congratulate Amanda and Eric on their wonderful and unique wedding.
The reception was held at the bride’s family’s barn just outside of Camrose and was beautifully decorated with charming décor: white paper flowers hung from the ceiling over the dance floor, hay bales were tucked into quaint arrangements that provided seating areas, and pines cones and needles were assembled into ornate bundles and placed cleverly around the barn. The barn and tent were filled with the weddings’ colours of yellow and blue and could be spotted in numerous elements: yellow sunflowers were part of the centrepieces and blue and white plaid tablecloths and runners covered the tables. Inspiring words such as ‘believe’ and ‘dream’ and ‘dance’ were hung on the walls of the barn; Words that we can surely carry with us through life and lead us to happiness!
When guests walked into the front doors of the barn, they were greeted with a table that contained a guest book filled with pictures of the bride and groom in a scrapbook format and had the chance to fill in the pages with well wishes full of love and happiness for the newlyweds. A unique element on the table was a glass bowl filled with rolled up pieces of paper that contained wishes for the guests to have; We couldn’t help ourselves but to take a wish (how could we resist?) and ours read: “We wish for you to truly enjoy yourself today”. We really did! There was also an extra added touch at the table where a large ‘E’ and an ‘A’ for Eric and Amanda were cut out and covered with elegant white flowers!
Several speeches were made in honour of the beautiful bride and groom on their memorable wedding day. Special announcements were also noted for two other wedding anniversaries: a 17th and a 34th. In addition, a few of the guests also shared their birthday with the newlyweds’ wedding day; hence, there were many reasons to celebrate last night! The slideshow was also an extra added touch to the dinner portion of the night and contained real footage of the proposal to Amanda from Eric. The footage began with the newlyweds standing in what must have been ice cold glacier water as they were in the mountains and could be seen making various silly poses. It then continued with baby, childhood and teen pictures of the two of them throughout their lives. Then, the video presentation returned to the footage of Amanda and Eric in the water and guests had the pleasure to view the proposal as Eric dropped to one knee in the water and asked for Amanda’s hand in marriage. What a loving memory to share with all those present!
After the speeches and the slideshow presentation, the first dance was held in the barn and the bride and groom danced to Francesca’s Battistelli’s ‘Hundred More Years’ and were illuminated by candlelight as each guest was given a small, white candle to hold as the newlyweds danced and indulged in all of the love that could be felt by everyone present. Next, the father and his newly married daughter proceeded to share a dance together that began as a traditional father/daughter dance, but slowly evolved into a more lively and energetic beat, which invited the guests to join them on the dance floor and form a conga line!
At this point in the night, guests began pilling into the photobooth and had a real roar dressing up with the props and posing for pictures. Many laughs were shared as the guests looked over their pictures and couldn’t wait to take some more! The bride and groom also requested to keep a strip of each set of pictures for them to scrapbook with at a later time; what a fun way to capture and relive those smiles and happy faces of those who attended their wedding!
Flashworks Photobooth would like to send out their warmest regards and happiest wishes to the newlyweds, Amanda and Eric. Thank you for having us share in your special day and may your lives be filled with love for all the years to come!
