Flashworks Photobooth was honoured to be called back again for this year’s Priority Mechanical Christmas party.
Held at Banff room in the Derrick Golf and Winter Club, guests were asked to stop at the corner of the hall to take a picture with their friends or family in front of a well-decorated Christmas tree. The tree was studded with silver and blue sparkling spheres and garlands, and surrounded with light yellow or pink poinsettias. An elegant angel sat a top the tree and welcomed everyone with a lovely smile. Sitting comfortably in the loveseat next to the tree, you couldn’t help looking up to see white snowflakes, sparkling stars, and snowballs that were hanging down from the ceiling. The tree, brick wall, angel and love seats at this corner made everyone feel at home.
Walked into the banquet room, 20 dining tables were arranged symmetrically in the room. On each table there 12 place settings with green and red napkins in the wine glasses matching the color of centre piece of a blooming faux lily in a long narrow-neck bottle. Early-comers to the party could help themselves to the mix nuts at each table that were prepared by the thoughtful organizer. The main stage was walled by pretty gift boxes and was another eye catching spot that people liked to stop by. And the wall across from this gift wall was covered with 120 pieces of paper with numbers varying from 1-12. The DJ from Mac’s Music was set-up on the far end of the room all the usual professional lights and stereo equipment while next to DJ stood another large Christmas tree hiding two 50” plasma TVs.
Dinner was prepared with all kinds of delicious dishes that varied from assortments of fresh salads, Chef’s daily vegetables, carved turkey or beef with gravy, baked potatoes, different colored tortellini, assorted meats platter, and roasted salmon with creamy sauce. The sculpture Santa Claus with a hand holding a plate stood on the buffet table, and looked like he was the one who brought in the delicious food. Thank you, Santa Claus! The dinner was excellent and so was dessert! Even though people complained they were on a diet, they still kept stacking their plates with chocolate mousse cake, cheese cake squares, Christmas cookies, fresh fruits, and tortes amongst others. Who could say no to dessert?
The party really kicked off at 8:15 pm with a quick speech given by Brian and Jodie. Brian appreciated everyone’s effort which made the past year so successful. He also thanked the girls in the office for wrapping all those gifts. After the speech, Brian and Jodie started drawing numbers. Besides the plasma TVs, there were also gift cards differ from restaurants to gas station, golf bags, Oilers vs. Kings tickets, shirts, a Second Cup basket, a job site radio, E- readers…. One lucky girl won an X-box package by participating in the game “Head or Tail.” Good guess, girl!
Without a doubt, every guest at the Priority Mechanical Christmas party had a wonderful and cheerful evening, not only because most of them received gifts but also because they had so much fun dancing and having their photos taken in the photobooth.
Flashworks Photobooth would like to thank Priority Mechanical for inviting us to entertain their guests. Congratulations on another successful year!
