Flashworks Photobooth loves out of town rentals! We had the good fortune of being able to spend most of the day with the Frog Lake First Nation in the celebration of their annual Treaty Day.
The day started off with a pancake breakfast and a parade of colourful and amusing home made floats which wound their way around the neighbourhood launching candies and sweets at spectators. Flashworks Photobooth was even asked to judge the floats!
There was definitely no shortage of fun things to do for all ages. There were stroller races, three legged races, tug of war, sack races, a coin toss, plinko, a mens and ladies moose calling contest, a chili cook-off, bannok making contest, a dunk tank, a strong-man game, a neck-bone eating contest, and even a mechanical bull for ride. And all these games were not without reward; prizes ranged from prepaid visa cards in the amount of $100 to $300 and even $500 for certain events. Other prizes consisted of Walmart giftcards and items like watches and clock radios. Popcorn and slushies accompanied the afternoon burger bbq, and a jigging contest concluded many of the activities in the band hall.
The festivities continued on into the evening as the younger crowd got to enjoy a Much Music dance party, while others could partake in a prize bingo or watch the CNWA wrestling.
Throughout the day, there was always a line-up at the Flashworks Photobooth as people gathered to make memories with their family and friends.
Thanks to the organizers of the Frog Lake Treaty Day and for inviting us to the fun in your close-knit community.
