Dreamcatcher Aboriginal Youth Conference

Flashworks Photobooth had the honor of attending the annual Dreamcatcher Conference for a third year in a row. Youth of aboriginal decent were invited from all over Canada to attend this conference and delegates were not disappointed with the activities provided throughout the weekend.
When we started at noon, there was a steady flow of students excited to commence what was in store for them. A stage was set up beside a large multi-coloured quilt that welcomed students to the stage area; this multi-coloured quilt is also a reminder of the craft activity the students participated in last year. With the flexible time schedule, students were able to participate in making bracelets, touring Grant MacEwan University, catching up with friends, or participating in an obstacle course. This fun course enticed laughter and friendly competition.

The day started with a drum and song prayer followed by a presentation, and an interview with a MacEwan Student speaking about university life. Many youth performed on stage in a variety program showcasing their many talents. Throughout the day, all students and volunteers could help themselves to a gourmet hot dog lunch, popcorn, and could drop into the Photobooth at any time.

From the time that Flashworks Photobooth was onsite, there was a steady and constant flow of students and volunteers alike waiting to create lasting memories and try on the props. The Photobooth was well used and we wouldn’t have it any other way! Thank you for letting Flashworks Photobooth attend another successful Dreamcatcher Conference!
