This year, like many years before, the gala maintained its high degree of excellence through its minor and major details. From the moment guests arrived at the DOW Centennial Centre there was a red carpet that greeted and guided them to the registration table. Strategically placed fall themed decorations made the atmosphere feel intimate and welcoming. Guests felt like celebrities as the radio station, Mix 107.9, interviewed many of them throughout the evening. In the Lions Mane Banquet Room, fall coloured flowers and cattails were bursting from a hollowed out pumpkin. From the ceiling hung long whimsical waves of shear white fabric that encased white mini-lights and strings of maple leaves. An area with black drapery against the wall was dedicated to the taking of formal pictures by Alison Smith Photography.
Scott Curtis sang O’ Canada as dinner began. Comedian, Andrew Grose, provided entertainment for the guests during dinner. Another hit during the evening was the fondue bar.
During the awards ceremony, Fort Saskatchewan recognized the achievements of various businesses in the community.
Flashworks had yet another great year providing entertainment for the guests. Thank you for inviting us back to your gala and have a successful year to come.
