Flashworks Photobooth would like to thank AIMCo for having us be a part of their festive Christmas party!

As guests arrived at the Sutton Place’s Winter Lake room, they were welcomed to a winter wonderland of decorations! Several red poinsettias and white lanterns lit the hallway leading up to the room. In addition, guests could also take pictures in front of three Christmas trees that were beautifully decorated with twinkling lights which added such a wonderful glow to the Christmas atmosphere! Before entering the Winter Lake room, guests could also stop at the bar to grab a drink. There you could find festive center pieces composed of a floating candle in a jar filled with green stones resting on a sparkly silver platter. So pretty!

Entering the Winter Lake room, you couldn’t help but notice the stage! Numerous poinsettias lined the stage and a table full of door prizes could be won. There was even an ‘Angry Birds’ prize for those who love the app! As for the rest of the room, the festive atmosphere could be seen everywhere. A red and green carpet lined the floors, garland and Christmas lights decorated the balcony, and each guest was given an AIMCo coffee mug at their table setting as their party favour. A red napkin was placed in each mug to tastefully add to the Christmas colours of the holiday season. Lets hope that there won’t be any more missing mugs in the boardroom next year!

As the dinner portion of the night began, there was surely no shortage of choices for the guests to choose from! Fresh salmon, mussels, shrimp, turkey with gravy, Italian lasagna, deli meats, baked potatoes, vegetable trays, and fruit trays provided an endless amount of food to indulge in, even for those who were looking for seconds, or even thirds! The dessert table was also another shinning spot at the party. Guests could choose from numerous selections including apple pie, lemon coconut tart, chocolate mint tort, pecan pie covered with strawberries and cream, or chocolate ice cream with strawberries. There was surely enough dessert to satisfy every sweet tooth in the room!

Throughout the night, there was also a lot of great entertainment for the guests to enjoy!  Leo busted out some rocking Mexican dancing that really had everyone laughing and the Executive Team showed off their amazing dancing moves – they must have practiced a lot when the boss wasn’t around! ;p In addition to all the fun, Angela from the Management Team was presented with the Award for the Heritage Fund from Alberta Investment Management. The United Way Campaign committee also gave a speech and thanked everyone for their contributions; the company has accomplished 90% of its goal! A job well done, that’s for sure!

Finally, there was a mystery game where guests had to match two pictures in order to win a prize. There were 24 Santa Clauses on the screen and players would ask the MC to flip the pictures in order to find a match. Most of the pictures were things like cartoon characters, a ninja, or celebrities like Bruce Lee, but guests had a real good laugh when one of the pictures was that of Leo!

In addition to all the other fun events occurring throughout the evening, guests also enjoyed the photo booth! Several guests dressed up using props from the prop box and had loads of fun taking pictures in the photo booth and looking over their pictures with other guests at the party! Fun was had by all as the guests kept returning to the booth to take more pictures!
