When guests walked out of the elevator on the second floor of the Union Bank Inn they immediately encountered the romantically decorated dining room where Caroline and Derick gathered to celebrate their new day as happy newlyweds with family and friends.
Usually, a wedding reception has some sort of a guest book. However, that was not the case for Caroline and Derek. In addition to a table that piled high with wonderful gifts from guests, there was a round postcard table at the entrance to the ballroom. On the table guests found a blue vintage suitcase, an old fashioned box camera, and a metal dish containing various different postcards from different locations. An instruction card indicated what guests were to do; they were welcome to pen their words of advice or ideas for the couple on the postcards and drop them in the suitcase. Amongst the hints on the card were, “Where in the world do we need to go?”,”Where do you see us in 5, 10, 25, 50 years?”, and “What should we do before having kids?”
When guests tried to locate their tables by finding their names on the chart titled, “A story book ending is only the beginning”, they noticed that the tables were not only numbered but also named with the titles of novels, such as Peter Pan, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Breakfast at Tiffany’s etc. Once in the hall, it was hard to miss the kissing booth next to the speaker’s podium. Guests were able to demonstrate a kiss for the bride and groom to emulate in this blue with white stripes booth.
The night started with touching and humorous speeches from parents, good friends, and the bride and groom themselves. After dinner, guests had a chances to try out the Flashworks Photobooth with friends and family. Even grandpa and grandma got in on the action and had some of the best smiles of the night!
What a wonderful night! Flashworks Photobooth congratulates Caroline and Derek on a fantastic evening! All the very best to you both!
