What a sight to behold! The hangar at Fort Edmonton was exquisitely decorated with deep purples and complimentary light greens. From chair covers to table cloths, elegant orchid centerpieces to highlights of twigs and branches – everything looked great. The candy bar, lollipop tree, and stylist punch bowls filled with Aruba nights martini were also very nice touches. The meal by Elizabethan Catering Services Ltd was excellent and full of tasty selections, and the expertly executed wedding cake surrounded with orchids and candles was stunning. Jennifer Tavaroli from Atmosphere Weddings deserves a lot of credit for an amazing job well done.

John’s passion for fishing was quite evident. While the guests got to take home fishing lure wedding favours, they also got to try their hand at casting with a kiss of the bride and groom as reward, but with a chance of hula-hooping mixed in for risk. Unfortunately, a few casting mishaps led to a revision of the game and 30 seconds of hula-hooping was soon the requirement for a kiss. Needless to say, some interesting styles of hula-hooping soon emerged.

We enjoyed learning a bit about the bride and groom through the MCs and speeches. It was interesting to find out that Jennifer and John choose August 14th for their wedding date based on their jersey numbers (#14) as captains of their respective sports teams.
