We had the pleasure of joining Allison and Jason for their reception at the Faculty Club, on the U of A Campus.

The second floor venue has great views of the campus grounds. As guests entered the ballroom, they were surrounded by beautiful decorations and flowers. Teal and white were the colours – the lovely centrepieces were mums, daisies, and carnations. The tables looked elegant with touches of satin and diamonds while the multi-tier wedding cake featured teal ribbons with a wavy and silky icing ribbon flowing down one side.Guests were a bit shy to use the booth at first, but once some of the bride and groom’s friends stepped up and tried it out, we were taking pictures non-stop. The kids especially enjoyed taking their picture with the bride. The dinner buffet was great! There were so many salads to choose from, followed by some tender prime rib and Yorkshire pudding. The wedding party did a great job of planning some fun games for the bride and groom to play, including one that involved some blindfolded kissing. The groom was to guess which of the ladies presented to him was his bride…but they replaced the volunteer ladies with the groomsmen! Just as the guests were listening to the formal program, the wedding planner and her staff set up a delicious candy bar complete with fuzzy peaches, sour soothers and rosebuds.
