Flashworks had the wonderful privilege of celebrating Erika and Paul’s wedding with them and their guests.
When the guests made their way down to the Rutherford Room at the Sutton Place Hotel, they came up to an illustrated portrait of Paul and Erika that they could sign with their names and well-wishes for the couple. Guests shared a few drinks amongst friends and family during the cocktail hour. Just within the entrance to the ballroom, guests tried out the booth and received double-prints, half of which they left for the bride and groom in their own photo album.
Inside the ballroom, the color scheme of white and green added a spring touch to the entire event. The seats and tables were covered with white material and table cloths. The chairs were decorated with light green bows for accents.
Matthew and Justin, brothers of the bride, did a wonderful job at being the MCs for the wedding. The first part of the program was the introduction of the bridal party. Every couple danced in into the room while Matthew and Justin gave a brief outline of how they knew the Erika and Paul. The lovely ladies were dressed in green strapless dresses, they all looked lovely, and their men, very handsome. Matthew and Justin always kept the guests entertained, especially with the bride and groom kissing game. Rather than the usually clinking of glasses, golf skills were required for this game. A golf green was set-up, and if you got a hole in one, then the groom would kiss the bride. The guests kept the bride and groom kissing all night long.
Dinner was served to each table and was followed by a very delicious pecan caramel cheesecake. The guests were also treated to very sweet candy bar!
After everyone filled up on dinner and satisfied their sweet tooth, speeches began. The brothers of the bride went up first. They shared stories and memories that had made everybody laugh. A slide show followed which showed the journey that Paul and Erika have traversed from childhood to meeting each other, till this very day. It was incredible seeing their journey together. A few more speeches continued where the parents shared words of wisdom and love and for their children. The maid of honor had a very musical speech, and at the end of that, the whole bridal party got up and danced to Lady Gaga’s “Love Game.” This the first dance brought ann end to the end to the official portion of the night and the party commenced. Everyone had enjoyed the open bar, and the photo booth very much!
Thank you to everyone whose effort made this night a huge success. We’re sure that Erika and Paul will have a blast looking through all your photos in their new album! Congrats!
