Flashworks Photobooth would like to congratulate Lisa and Danny on their wedding day and reception at the beautiful Mount Stephen Hall within the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel.
Every though the weather outside was clear but crisp, the view from the Mount Stephen Hall was amazing and the love from family and friends made for a warm and congenial atmosphere.
An elegant black and white was the theme for the evening with greenery adding a touch of colour. The bride and groom have recently moved to San Francisco and incorporated this theme into their decor, as well as the idea of their initials caved into a tree. The guestbook table was decorated with two photos in white frames of Lisa and Danny, an arrangement of white roses, tulips, and hydrangeas and a guestbook with a framed set of instructions. The guestbook included black pages onto which guests could paste a photo-strip using the provided L+D stickers and write a message for the bride and groom.
Each table was named after a neighborhood in San Francisco and featured a photo of the bride and groom in that neighbourhood. Also, a little cork man dressed up and posed representing the neighborhood was placed on each table. Seat assignments took the form of doube-sided cards inserted into corks; the guest name was on the front while the back depicted Lisa and Danny’ initials in bark. Wedding favours consisted of chocolates in black little rectangular box.
The head table was accented by a long black runner down the center while black lanterns and flower arrangements of white roses and tulips flanked each end. White candles in clear votives lit the front edge of the head table and a little man made of wine bottle corks did a hand stand and on a Golden Gate bridge miniature. Directly behind the head table upon two large upright logs of birch stood tall arrangements of a variety of white flowers including roses, orchids, and tulips lit from below by a warm yellow light.
Speeches interspersed the dinner courses and afterwards guests enjoyed a very special desert. As Lisa and Danny prepared to cut their wedding cake, servers delivered cakes identical to the top tier of the wedding cake to every table, each alight with a sparkler. One person was nominated at each table to cut the cake at the same time as the bride and groom. And as guests enjoyed their deserts, a slideshow played showing images of Lisa and Danny’s childhood and youth with friends and family, and of good times and trips abroad.
After a few words of thanks and gratitude from Lisa and Danny, they made their way to the dance floor for their first dance to Blue Rodeo’s, “Lost Together.” Then, Ryan from NRG Music began to spin the tunes that kept the dance floor full past midnight.
Throughout the evening (and during the day, too) photographer Orange Girl, Kirstie Tweed and her husband Kevin were busy composing the perfect shot and immortalizing every special moment.
Flashworks Photobooth wishes Danny and Lisa all the happiness in the world as they begin their journey together as husband and wife.
