Congratulations to Becky and Jason on a beautiful country wedding at the Easyford Community Hall just west of Drayton Valley.
When we arrived to set-up, Becky’s family was busily preparing all the last minute touches for the special day. They arranged a guestbook table with a flowers and a treasure chest for envelopes, and a large white matte for guest to write their well-wishes upon. Within the hall, pink, silver and white balloons floated up the to ceiling and pictures of Becky and Jason decorated the walls. Tables for 150 guests featured tall glass centerpieces topped with flowing bouquets of orchids and roses amongst branches of greenery. The chairs where adorned with bows of pink and white, and silver clasps created elegant folds in the white and grey tablecloths. The head table was draped with a flowing white tablecloth and underlaid with grey fabric textured to look somewhat like sequins. A tall cocktail table in a corner towards the rear of the hall displayed a cupcake tree filled with vanilla and chocolate cupcakes, each level edged with shimmering white and deep pink ribbons and butterflies.
The wedding party made quite the entrance arriving to the hall in style in a magenta and black 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T and a jacked up black Chevy 3/4 ton truck. The groomsmen were in gray suits with deep pink coloured vests, white shirts and deep pink ties in contrast to Jason’s black shirt and white tie, and to the bridesmaid’s black dresses. Upon entering the banquet room, Becky and Jason proceeded right into their first dance to Darius Rucker’s “Forever Road.”
The dinner was a fun mix of a salad and taco bar with cold cuts and cheeses followed by plates of fruits and home made squares. A few impromptu speeches with some hilarious stories were said during dinner, and afterwards, a slideshow full of Becky and Jason’s funny and food-filled faces permeated the screen
The photobooth was a hit all night long. And not only were the props fun in the booth, they were quite fashionable on the dance floor, as well.
Becky and Jason, thanks for making us a part of your wedding. We’d like to wish you happy, long and fulfilled lives together surrounded by family and friends.
