This annual luncheon held by the Edmonton Police Service was an intimate celebration held on the 11th floor of the Delta Hotel South.
As guests entered the room they were treated to a spectacular and breathtaking view of South Edmonton. The décor was simple, yet elegant. Each table was draped in a white tablecloth with a small vase of flowers at the center.
Flashworks Photobooth was up and running right at the start of the event. Guests were able to mingle and entertain themselves inside the photobooth. After an hour of festivities and fun, the formal program of speeches, raffle draws and awards began.
A unit comprised mainly of volunteers, or “advocates”, the Victim Services Unit (VSU) had a very intriguing awards ceremony. Both hours and years of service were celebrated, with the hours ranging anywhere from 100 to 9000 hours, and the years from 1 to 35. Other highlights of the program included important figures within the Edmonton Police Services, such as Deputy Chief Simpson, who highlighted the importance of VSU in the city of Edmonton. A raffle draw was held which included some great prizes such as a giant bear, and an Apple iPad.
Since VSU plays such an important role in our city, Flashworks Photobooth is proud to have been a part of their luncheon. It was great to see all the appreciation for the advocates, and we’re really glad all the guests had fun in our photobooth. Our contact for the event let us know that we were “coming back next year!” We, at Flashworks Photobooth, are definitely looking forward to that!
