A fairly large wedding of 225 people filled Westlock Community Hall’s “Legion room”, where guests walked through a brilliant wooden arch to be seated at large tables, each decorated with black table cloth and neat assortment of cutlery. From the ceiling hung a cascade of blue lights, adding a homey atmosphere to the festivities of the night. The color theme of the wedding was black and turquoise. Strips of turquoise cloth lined the centre of each table, and the magnificent shade of green permeated the fantastic dresses of all the bridesmaids.

The proceedings of the night began with the Master of Ceremonies, who retold a humorous story about how the wedding couple first met, leading into introductions of the bridal party and saying grace. A delicious buffet dinner of roast beef, chicken, mixed veggies and other savory foods followed suit.

After guests enjoyed dinner, speeches commenced with gratitude from the bridesmaids, parents, and finally the best man and maid of honour. With teary eyes, the bride and groom thanked everyone for coming, and wished guests an enjoyable time on this fantastic night. Later on, a slideshow followed the ceremonious cake cutting, eliciting laughs from all of the guests.

After the slideshow, guests broke into dance and frequent trips to the foyer where the Photobooth was situated. Lots of zany laughter and smiles later, guests took to a late night platter of assorted meats and bread while the music played well into the night.
