Flashworks Photobooth was on hand June 29 to help the students and families of Louis St. Laurent Celebrate the successes of the Class of 2012.

Hall E at the Edmonton Expo Center was adorned with hundreds of blue, yellow, and white balloons for this auspicious occasion. The celebration had a New York City styled theme to it, as around the hall cityscape and silhouette gobos were projected onto the walls and a black city skyline was cut out of foam-core in front of which students posed for photos with their friends, family and teachers. The stage toward the front of the room showcased a number of tall fabric columns lit from within in blue and yellow, and a large projected LSL logo took center-stage above.

After a delicious buffet dinner, the class historians reminisced about their time at Louis St. Laurent. Their speech was full of puns and wordplay which along with their many anecdotes (including one about a certain hotel mishap) drew laughter from the crowd of teachers, students and family. Next the principal spoke on behalf of the staff and conveyed his hearty congratulations to all the graduates, as well as some of the wisest words ever spoken, “Don’t buy beer with your student ID”.

After the conclusion of the formal program the graduates danced the night away under huge balloon arches.
