Flashworks Photobooth was proud to be a part of the 30th Anniversary celebration of the Project Management Institute’s Northern Alberta Chapter. Thanks to all the volunteer organizers for putting together such a fabulous evening at the Alberta Gallery of Art.
About two hundred guests attended this intimate dinner set within the exceptional venue of the AGA which was elegantly decored for the event. A small stage against the north wall featured a podium sporting the PMI gala logotype. On either side of the podium stood two black columns topped by curly sprigs mixed with deep blue orchids in a square white vessel. While behind this setup was a blue curtain lit by a strip of leds at the base. Upon intersecting silver and deep blue runners, each of the round tables featured a sparkly cubic vase overflowing with white hydrangea flowers and topped with blue orchids. Blue and white LED lights washed the walls and added to the elegant ambiance of the night.
As guests arrived, photographers were on site to snap formal images and to capture the flow of evening during this significant milestone event.
Following a few introductory speeches a video of short excerpts of past presidents speaking about the Institute was shown. A delicious dinner was provided by the AGA’s restaurant “Zinc” after which special guest Jim Hole gave a informative presentation about the new Enjoy Centre and how it came be. The formal program of the evening came to a close with the recognition of the individuals whose hard work had made the event possible.
It was at this point that the Stringbeans Quartet filled the AGA with the sound of classical music but with a modern twist as they performed popular pieces from a variety genres including classic rock, movie soundtracks, oldies, and contemporary rock songs. And while the music was playing, magician Ron Pearson moved from table to table and entertained the guests with sleight of hand and other amazing feats. The evening drew to a close as the quartet performed the theme to the Muppet Show surrounded by dancing guests.
Flashworks Photobooth would like to thank the PMINAC for inviting us to their fantastic anniversary event. Here’s to another 30 years!
